Kyrie, the album, began in concept in 2004. Lyrics were written throughout 2004. In March of 2005, the first song from the album would be recorded: 'Sunset For Ritchie'. In August of 2005, 'Song For Tori (Tori's Song)' was recorded. From 2006 to August of 2011, Rocco recorded the rest of the songs at just 2 hours per week sessions. The songs were recorded at MoonGate Audio, Glen Cove. The recording engineer was Brooks Magee (who also played bass, bass Moog pedals on 5 of the 11 songs). All songs were recorded at Moongate Audio except; 'Sunset For Ritchie,' which was recorded at Witchdoctor Recording, Brooklyn. Kyrie was mastered by Abbey Road Studios, England. All instruments were played by Rocco. All songs were written, arranged, recorded and produced by Rocco. Kyrie also happens to be the name of the motion picture that Rocco self-produced that features music from all 3 of Rocco's critically acclaimed albums - A Walk With Rocco - For A Day - Kyrie.
