An Avant-garde guitarist and sound manipulator from Cologne, Germany, Joseph Suchy works with sound and noise transformation to excellent effect on this album. His work creates a much-needed bridge between free improvisation, electronica, and psychedelia. Entskidoo could be a sister album to Austrian laptop artist Fennesz's extraordinary Endless Summer album, which similarly takes '60s psychedelia into the information age via powerbook transformations of exquisite guitar sounds. Those interested in Oval, Microstoria, and Mouse on Mars should give serious attention to this, as should fans of Fred Frith, Henry Kaiser, and Merzbow.
