Bert Robinson Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, Bert Robinson was influenced by the local Gospel singers and, of course, many of the Motown acts. After signing with Capitol Records in 1986, Bert Robinson exploded on the scene with a number 5 Billboard hit, entitled “Heart Of Gold”. After several other recordings, Bert became oblivious and died two years ago in Denver, Colorado. The song, Heart Of Christmas, was one of the last songs Bert performed under an independent record label in 2005.
