Valentine is my very first release and this song is a story about a guy that met a girl who made him change the way he thinks about life, and in starting a new year, he is letting her know that he wants to start a brand new life with her. I'm a person who loves to see people smile and to see people feeling good. I guess you can say that I'm a caring, laid back person who likes to have fun...but aggressive when I need to be. Hello. My name is Herman ‘P-Nut’ Johnson. I'm a musician/producer/music director/engineer/singer. I started playing drums at 4, playing the piano in 8th grade and singing since college. I played drums on the Destiny Fulfilled Tour with Amerie. We also did the 2005 World Music Awards and The Jimmy Kemmel Show. I've also played drums for Kelly Rowland, Karen Clark Sheard, Yolonda Adams, Paster Marvin Winans, Will Downing (Smooth Jazz/R&B singer), Richard Elliot (Smooth Jazz saxaphonist), Peter White (Smooth Jazz guitarist), Dawkins & Dawkins, and Monica on Trey Songz's "Passion, Pain, Pleasure" tour. I am also Monica's Music Director. I've produced music for Jennifer Lopez (J. Lo), Nelly, Young Jeezy, Kelly, Monica, Jay-Z, Queen Latfah, Will Downing, Maysa, Marcus Johnson, Tyler Perry, Carl Thomas, Ledisi, Jahiem, Gerald Levert, Yolonda Adams, Chaka Khan, Chandra Currelley, Crissy Collins, Terrell Carter, Demetria McKinney, Christian Keyes, Kyron Leslie, Elan Trotman and a number of tv shows and commercials....K-Swiss, VH1 Driven, Missy's TV show "The Road To Stardom," Growing up Gottie...etc. I produced trax on 4 of Tyler's movies named, "Diary Of A Mad Black Woman," "Madea's Family Reunion," "Daddy's Little Girls," and "I Can Do Bad All By Myself." By the way, the song "Everyday" (Madea's Family Reunion - The Movie) which is a song that I produced and co-wrote on, and "Walk Away" by Maysa Leak off of her "Metamorphosis" album, was NOMINATED FOR A GRAMMY! I now have my own band. We play at a lot of high end corporate events and parties. My band consists of 13 pieces....DRUMS, BASS, GUITAR, KEYS, TRUMPET, ALTO SAX, TENOR SAX, and 5 SINGERS, and A HIP-HOP ARTIST! When we hit, we hit!! IT'S NO JOKE! At these parties and events, we play nothing but hits....from old hits, all the way up to current radio hits. Our thing is to keep the people dancing and entertained! When I'm not touring with my band, another artist, or creating music, I'm mixing music. When I'm not doing that, I'm either hanging out with friends, or at the crib chillin' out. That's me.
