简介
Although this is Brother Phil's debut album, "Living 4 You", you will quickly see you're not listening to a rookie. Brother Phil has been in the industry for over 10 years doing shows, concerts, and conducting training all over the country. Brother Phil has been singing since he was a teen, and is an ordained minister currently serving as Youth Ministries Director at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Oakland, CA. Through his music and ministry, Brother Phil's goal is to encourage listeners through his life experiences, and testimony. Brother Phil's gift has allowed him to work with and share the stage with several groups and artists such as world renown Promise Keepers Ministry, Kim Burrell, Tramaine Hawkins and V. Michael McKay to name a few. With most of the album produced by Jamie Hawkins, son of Gospel Icons - Walter & Tramaine Hawkins, it's no wonder why the project is sweeping the country. Writer and producer of Donnell Jones' 2002 hit, "You Know That I Love You" Jamie Hawkins is a bonafied hit maker. The combination of Brother Phil and Jamie Hawkins is already being compared to great collaborators such as LA & BabyFace, and Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis. This 12 track debut "Living 4 You" certainly gives Brother Phil an opportunity to showcase his smooth yet powerful vocals, and exceptional song writing skills. The album, kicks off with hard hitting R&B flavored "God Cares" and "Anytime" and slows down to the tear jerking ballad, "I'm Sorry". Much of the remainder of the album moves to familiar gospel grounds with Praise and Inspirational songs such as, "Give you Praise, "You made Me" and "U-Turn" (featuring Lawrence Matthews), and closing with inspirational songs, "Beautiful" (with D'Wayne Wiggins of Tony, Toni, Tone) and "Someday". With Brother Phil's debut album, "Living 4 You" to be released early Fall 2005, his name will definitely be made known, and his message heard.
