The Burn Ins have no comfort of home, just comfort of motorhome. When they are not playing gigs they spend their time avoiding the bylaw and finding free wifi. The Burn Ins have been living a gypsy type life since the fall of 2011 when Aaron finally quit his job. Matt waited a year and a half unemployed in Elkford BC for the band to break free from "Mother Cominco" (as he called it) to pursue the dream of sharing their music wherever the road would take them. The band recorded their debut album in Lethbridge, Alberta at Ghostwood Records and had mastering done by Brian Lucey at Magic Garden Mastering (chosen for his work on "Brothers" by The Black Keys... one of the bands favorite artists). The songs on the self titled album we're written by Kristine. She'd always thought they were kind of folksy until sharing them with other musicians at a jam night where Matt and Aaron added a whole new dynamic to the songs. The three continued to work on these songs together through many difficulties. Kristine and Aaron were in a motorcycle accident and left unable to work. Aaron with a broken leg, however, was still able to play the drums. Matt left Elkford for a while but continued to come up with parts for the dings long distance. After 9 months he returned to fill in for a former colleague and friend who had suffered a heart attack. Through it all they realize that crap happens, but they will hold on to hope that good will come of it... as they have seen already.
