TAKE ME BACK is a project that has been a work in progress for about a year. First, my wife and I went through the process of choosing the songs. Then I wrote the arrangements and recorded the rhythm section tracks. Then I searched south-eastern Virginia for 4 great lead vocalists. Two of them were already selected - my very talented brother John Hosay and friend and fellow musician whom I have known since I was 6 years old, the very gifted Bill Batte. I heard Amy Aguilera sing the national anthem at the Virginia International Tattoo and knew right away that her soulful and versatile full-range voice would be perfect for this project. Then I found the tremendously talented singer and entertainer Eddie Sal on Craigslist, of all places. ALL of the vocalists performed above my expectations and helped make this a really great album. After the vocal sessions were completed it was time for String and Horn tracks to be recorded, followed by editing and mixing sessions. Everything was done here at my project studio in Virginia Beach, with mastering done by Jim Curtis at Omega Studios in Rockville, Maryland.
