Ironically though it was negativity that brought him from his birthplace of the Bronx, NYC to Aurora, IL. After catching a felony and serving some jail time, his family felt it was best for him to get a fresh start by moving to live with his brother in Aurora, IL. Shortly after arriving to the Chicago area in 2002 at the age of 17, Matt’s passion for hip hop birthed the emcee Knu York. Knu York spits a breath of fresh air into every one of his lyrics. His style of hip hop delivers the wit & punchlines of Ludacris, gives you the feeling & message of J. Cole, all wrapped up in a Fabolous swagger.
