Back in 2007, Van Sereno's song "Little Bonsai" was chosen for sync licence to a pilot series called "Big Shots"

Rather than give the royalties earned to the artist, the Sydney indie label that pushed for its sync decided to offer a record deal, to the same value of the money earned by the sync (Van Sereno fronting any excess for overtime). There was a catch, rather than write it on his own, this album was to be a joint collaboration project. They obviously like it when he teams up with other writers! Van was to partner up with anyone he chooses but every song in this album had to be a duet of some sort. To make it more interesting and to also test his skill of the songwriting craft, Van intentionally set out to make every song a different style and genre from each other. Working with all sorts of artists, each from varying disciplines, Van was able to bring together a collection of songs that reflect Sydney in its totality, a multicultural place with colour and dynamics. An energetic album, diverse and exciting.

Originally released in 2008 through MGM distribution, it was contracted to Foghorn records for seven years. Having expired the agreed term, all royalty ownership has reverted back to the songs writers. Van Sereno and his friends are most happy that you are able to hear this album without label politics. These songs were written from the pure joy of friendship and life experience. They hope the album brings you pleasure and feel good vibes, as much as there was when they created it!
