I recently got my hands on the debut CD from illumiNATE titled "Motivational Music" This CD really is Christian Motivation Music. The Cd starts with a track titled "Real Life". "Real Life" is about the struggles and pains that come with Real Life and the importance of maintaining our faith and sanity through those struggles. Moving ahead to track 3 is a song titled "Tired" ,this song is about the struggle of living up to God's standards and coming to the realization that only through Jesus we can be holy. Basically we can't do it on our own. Now let's talk about my favorite song on this CD; titled "Me vs. Me". This song is all about fighting the flesh. We all know that's the hardest fight of all. Now let's skip ahead to Track 10 which is titled "Blow it away", featuring Prince of NewStyle. This is a great motivator for Christians of all walks of life to stand firm in their faith. Finally we get to track 12 titled "In this Club". Now this has a very interesting concept. illumiNATE refers to life as a work week and Friday night is when we go home to be with the Lord. Heaven is the club that everybody wants to go to when they get off work on Friday night. Now the question illumiNATE addresses is will we meet the standards that the club requires to get in. To all my deep theologians, don't trip he is not selling Heaven short by comparing it to a club. Track 13 which is the hidden track titled "Behold" is a follow up to track 12 and brings the whole concept home. This CD is definitely worth checking out.
