简介

Baba Nam Kevalam is a mantra expressing the ancient wisdom of yoga. On this track producer Ryan Sam teamed up with the yogi, Dada Veda, and merges the spiritual energy of the Sanskrit phrase with pulsing electronic music. Turn up the volume, sing, dance and soar to blissful realms. What does Baba Nam Kevalam mean? Literally it means "Only the Name of the Beloved." If we sing or dance or meditate with this mantra, then we can forget about the mundane world and think only of the love that lies at the source of our being, and the love that permeates this entire universe. A short streamlined translation of the mantra is "Love is All There Is." This is a shortened version of the Kiirtan Remix which is available on the Love is the Best LP CD. Dada Veda is a singer-songwriter and a yoga-meditation teacher. His music fuses the wisdom of yoga with the rhythms of folk, pop and rock music. Dada is a world traveled teacher and performer and is currently based in the Midwest of the US. Dada’s first assignment as a yoga-meditation teacher was in France, where he spent five years. In subsequent years Dada worked in the Far East (Japan and Korea), then several countries in Western and Eastern Europe. Dada is now back in the U.S.A. after a nine year stay in Albania where he established a kindergarten and other educational programs in a needy neighborhood. Although Dada has been playing the guitar and singing for the past 40 years, it was only in the past ten years that he tried his hand at composing his own songs. During this period he has released three CDs of original songs and one CD of children's music. He is currently recording a new CD of original compositions. Here is what Phosphorescence magazine had to say about the album version of World House Kirtan: " A futuristic, totally absorbing, danceable beat, that puts an upbeat, otherworldly spin on the Kiirtan mantra."
