My musical training began with piano lessons at the tender age of 5, followed by accordion lessons and some brief experimentation with an upright bass fiddle a few years after that. But by the time I was a teenager I found myself drawn to the electric bass. I bought my first bass at age 15, taught myself how to play, and soon formed a band with some friends in high school. We parted ways after graduation and I played in a number of bands of various styles in the years that followed, but I always felt the need to do something more. My head was swimming with lyrics and song ideas, but as a bass player who couldn't write music I was finding it difficult to describe the guitar riffs and solos I was hearing in my head to my fellow band members. Over time it was becoming more and more obvious to me that I needed to learn to play other instruments and record them myself.

This debut album is the result of many years of hard work and dedication. It contains a mix of hard-rocking, high-energy tunes similar to "Money For Nothing" by Dire Straits, and softer, acoustic melodies reminiscent of Fleetwood Mac's "Landslide". Entirely self-recorded and produced, this album is -- literally -- "Home Grown"!
