In recent years, Finn Bell has been noted as an undeniably prolific and highly talented new presence in music today and a 'one to watch' within the ever growing house community. Beginning his career experimenting with elements of analogue and electronic music, Finn's sound can be heard as somewhat eclectic, fusing a traditional 'house' sound, with a musical percussiveness, of Latin, funk and disco. More recently Finn's own work can be seen as taking on a deeper note as he steps back and draws on the past, taking inspiration from an earlier sound of house. Title track 'Socialight' is a contemporary deep house cut dominated by an infectious vocal hook, low lying bass and a cleverly automated percussion. In contrast, 'Liike' is somewhat more acidic in flavor with emphasis on a filtered bass line, techy top-end percussion and Finn's signature vocal work.
