Riding in the wave of the Simeon/Silver Apples rise to global cult appreciation and attention, fellow former bandmate, Musician/Artist Jake Bell, (Jake and Simeon of Silver Apples both former memebers of the 60's Rock Band known as The Random Concept 1967-1971)- released "Synjase Return of the Vortex" in 1998 - the CD that opened the door for the unknown musician, gaining considerable radio airplay attention in various parts of Eastern Europe, as well as, college stations in the USA and several sites on the Internet. Synjase, Return of the Vortex CD, released by Whirlybird Records, draws from the roots of Jakes' pioneering of early Rock, and Electronica, beginning in 1968 with the first use of oscillators, and tape loop echoplex delays. In this recording, the main emphasis is in making use of the electric guitar as the "controller" of Synthesizers and synthesized sounds. The music is a journey into sound worlds verging on the cinematic, with obvious influences of rock guitar, sometimes in parody, yet always evocative of altered states, dreamtime and Inner Self, in ways that transports the listener beyond the everyday world. This holds true, for both high energy dance pieces to ambient spaces. The new releases now being recorded, will soon be available here - expanding the boundaries of wave-traveling, sound world and rythmic dance experiences even further into new sonic frontiers.
