About the Artist: Lisa Clayton

Lisa Clayton ministers the gospel of Jesus Christ through song and the preached word. Born in Thomasville, Georgia, she was raised in the wonderful God-fearing home of her parents the late Presiding Elder T.A Clayton and Mrs. Viola Clayton. She currently serves as the Director of the Voices of Freedom Gospel Choir at the University of Connecticut. During the 2014-2015 school year, she will celebrate 20 years in this capacity. As director of UConn's Gospel Choir and the Founder of Judah, Lisa Clayton has shared the stage with some of Gospel music's greatest artist including: Dr. Bobby Jones, Dr. Dorinda Clark-Cole, Mary Mary, Tye Tribette, Kurt Carr, Paul Morton, Iona Locke, Wilmington-Chester Mass Choir, JJ Hairston and Youthful Praise, Anita Wilson, Hezekiah Walker, James Hall, Lemmie Battles, Anaysha Figueroa, Fondrea Lewis, Lecresia Campbell, Brother Hahz and many others.
