This music wasn't composed over night. It's been quite a journey, really. As I mostly write for film and television, I realized that I was beginning to accrue a lot of pieces that fit into the "New Age" or "Neo-Classical" category. "So," I thought to myself, "Why not release it as an album or EP?" This music is unlike anything you've heard out there. If you're tired of the same 20-song radio blitz, and like to relax, then this album is very likely for you. I cleverly titled the album after the first song. I was inspired to write "Plainly Calm" after viewing a FAGE yogurt commercial. The commercial was very well produced, and there was a poem that I believe is titled "Plainly Plain," that is recited. While watching this commercial, you get a sense that you no longer are, where you are. You are somewhere else. The images, music and poetry bring you to another place. This is what I have done here in composing these instrumental pieces. Hopefully, they will bring you, to another place.
