SIMON is the first ever official solo release from this young Canadian musician. Malkin has been working very hard on this EP for the past 6 months. It consists of mostly songs that she wrote about two years ago. Although the songs are old, she worked on the tracks with producer Aaron Ownby at DRX Studio in Montreal to bring a new life to them.

Background:

Malkin's love of music began in grade 3 when she was enrolled in F.A.C.E. (Fine Arts Core Education) a music and drama focused primary and secondary school. She started with some basic piano lessons, then progressed to classical flute in the school's orchestra, while also singing in the school choir. At age 13 she started learning the guitar, and began developing a knack for songwriting. Malkin decided to take a break from her studies to join her current band, Motel Raphael, and get a taste of the real world. She has now been a part of local Indie/Folk/Pop band Motel Raphael for 2 years. The debut release of their first music video "Ghosts" gained over 10,000 views in only two weeks on Youtube.
