Formed in 1982, Clergy of the Impossible played in Providence , R.I. for a few years, then moved to CT, and recorded 100's of basement tracks. Publishing tapes that sold in art book stores and the like. The song "I was Made for Lovin' You" was played widely on college radio. With the debut of Tree Eater, Licky Licky, the Clergy found quick rise of interest and radio play of their popular songs "Silty Bottom" and the Joy Division cover "New Dawn Fades (bloody bat stumps) un Homage." Over the years the Clergy never stopped making music and to this day still publish songs.
