Hailing from the Underworld, also know as Detroit City, The Collection Agency is a group of Hard Hitting Lyrical Titans. Their style is a fusion of Contemporary and Classic Hip Hop Beats merged together with No Non-Sense Lyrics and Word Play. The Group is comprised of Four main members: Maxx, ROQ, Shorty Mac, & Eksa-Q. While Each has enjoyed individual Success on the Detroit Hip Hop Scene, this Is Their first album as A 4 man Unit. The group was Formed in January of 2010 but their Friendships date back to 2002. In the Year of 2010 THE COLLECTION AGENCY Worked diligently on Their Debut LP, titled: CHECK IT IN. The title of the Album is taken From a Phrase made popular in Detroit in the 1980's. When someone says "Check It In", that means that they are trying To take what Is Yours. THE COLLECTION AGENCY feels that The Game has Been in the hands of the Weak for so long, that it's time to Take it By Force, hence forth it is time to "Check It In". The Collection Agency's Greatest strength is their Artistic approach to making Music. They approach HIP HOP music with a Sense of Dignity and Purpose (not a sense of money & Fame). The Collection Agency prides Themselves on Intelligent concepts, lyrics, & versatility. Some of the Beats are completely original, Some of the Beats Have heavy Samples. This makes for a Good Blend of Contemporary and Traditional Hip Hop. The COLLECTION AGENCY is focused on transcending the Glass Ceiling of Hip Hop and Creating a Powerful stream of Music that can be Enjoyed by People who like all Genre's of music. The main Foucs is: GOOD MUSIC. The Collection Agency has Performed at nightclubs in Detroit, Chicago, Cleveland, Tampa, and Atlanta. The COLLECTION AGENCY is continuing To create a Buzz throughout the Midwest and Southern Regions. Texas, Louisianna, Kansas City, and St. Louis are The next Destinations for Performances and marketing.
