'Azorel ' Barlad Animal Rescue Centre An Ending Which Became A Beginning ! In August 2010 I saw many dogs running away & screaming in agony as the Dogcatchers attempted to catch them & remove them from the streets by any means possible. It was unimportant to them whether they died immediately or after they were taken to the local shelter where they would starve to death. One dog collapsed on the grass near to me & I ran over to help him. But it was too late ! He died in my arms ! From that moment I made a vow that I would save as many animals as possible from their death sentences. Please help me to do this Azorel Barlad Animal Rescue Centre is in the city of BARLAD, ROMANIA, has as its main activity, providing shelter, food, medical care and assistance to stray animals, & those abandoned or abused by their owners. The Association is an organization with no political goals and aims. Its objectives are : -To organize activities for rescuing stray animals or improperly or cruelly treated by their owners . - To encourage by all means to increase the number of animal lovers. -To advocate for change community attitudes towards animals. -Helping to understand just what it means for the family pet, to educate children and the society we live in, to consider the beauty, loyalty, intelligence and stamina. Qualities valued since ancient times. -To strive by all means to achieve the unconditional acceptance of the Universal Declaration of animal rights and legal provisions protection. Founding member : Calinoiu Lucia Located in the village of Tantava near to Bucharest, Romania, 'Bobi' Tantava Pet Sanctuary is run single-handedly by Dodi Carmen . Romania provides one of the harshest environments in Europe for domestic animals, with daily reports of mutilations & killings. Travelling around the countryside on her battered old bicycle, she nurtures, protects & cares for these endangered animals. Please help to support her work.
