简介
A native of Little Rock, Arkansas, this Christian Contemporary singer is a force to be reckoned with. Delya was born on July 18th to Dale and Betty Moore. She is the third of six siblings. Inspired by her mother, she has enjoyed singing since the age of nine. She has served as background singer to a plethora of national gospel artists such as Dorinda Clark Cole, Kim Burrell, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, Patrick Lundy, O’landa Draper, Lamar Campbell, and many more. In 1998, Delya flew to Los Angeles California to compete against other starving artists alike for a recording contract with Brooklyn Boy records, founded by the great Kashiff. Although she did not win first place, she still caught the attention of the judging panel. It was then Delya was afforded the opportunity to sing on the 100th Centennial Celebration album of the late great jazz legend Duke Ellington. Singing “I Ain’t Got Nothing but the Blues” and “Come Sunday”, both done as a duet with national artist Otis Clay. Delya has recently opened for major artist such as Deitrick Haddon, Men of Standard, 21:03, J Moss, & Rizen! With her freshman album entitled “Breakthrough”, Delya’s goal is to encourage and inspire others with knowledge that they are loved by God and that Jesus is the reason we live, move and have our being. “Once you experience a true breakthrough, you won’t allow anyone to steal what you have experienced and you will do all it takes to hold on to the new peace you have found in Christ.” With her velvet tones and soothing lyrics Delya is sure to bring divine healing to the hearts of the non-believers and encouragement to the souls of all who will have an ear to hear what the spirit is saying in the midst of achieving that personal Breakthrough. Delya also won "New Contemporary Gospel Artist of 2007" at the Arkansas Gospel Gala Awards!!
