van Wyk’s debut album Breek Uit marks the beginning of a new sound in Afrikaans Contemporary Christian Music. Jaques’ music can be compared to that of popular group The Script and even though it is new to the general Afrikaans ear, it is remarkable in both message and quality.

Van Wyk hopes to inspire people to break out of the old way and into the new. The lyrics speak of identity, righteousness and a stand in Christ. The message is that of leaving old ideas and paradigms behind and chanting the truth about Christ through the way we stand out in everyday life.

Produced by Gideon Botes, also producer to Nianell and Louise Carver, the album promises to hold back nothing when it comes to quality. This ons is not to be missed.
