Instruments employed include tablas (Indian hand-drum), tympani (Dave Anthony actually drives around with two huge kettle drums in his van – it’s comical), upright bass (a most non-portable instrument), djembe (a West African membranophonic hand drum), teensy chimes, 2 accordions, ukelele (1930’s Gibson), mandolin (1940’s Martin), waterphone (an atonal, bowed, stainless steel instrument, possibly from planet Mars), guitars (Martin and Gibson), tenor banjo (a cheap one Glen found in Lambertville, NJ and he hasn't been the same since), vintage marching bass drum, 2 pianos and actual human vocals.
