Best selling author and award-wining poet Sid Ozalid and Jim Shepherd from The Jasmine Minks (Creation / Poptones Records) first met each other in 1979 at the 62 Club in Aberdeen. Sid was supporting 'folk punk' Patrik Fitzgerald and Jim was recording a bootleg tape. More than 30 years past and they met up once again to admire each others bald heads. Sid wrote the words on a trip home to see his mum on her 80th Birthday. The words were written in Aberdeen, Amsterdam, Kuala Lumpur and Bandar. Jimmy Jazz wrote and recorded the music in Sunny Roy Bridge and Sid recorded his words in Ghent. They are both PAF and truly international old men.
