简介
First released in 1998, "Wander Down Beyond the Rainbow" represents Mim Eichmann and Doug Lofstrom's first collaboration of original children's songs. The album has found renewed excitement coast to coast since Sirius Radio's Kids Network began broadcasting six of the songs three years ago. Many of the songs were inspired by the antics and questions of Mim's three children, such as "Uh Oh It's Tuesday...", "Ode to Little Boys Everywhere," "Crayon Rap" and "The Noodle Song." Also a ballet teacher and choreographer, Mim has written several songs over the years for use in her youngest ballerinas' classes including: "I've Got a Song in My Toes," "The Apple Song" and "Bird Bath Buddies." Currently Mim, who also plays hammered dulcimer, and Doug, are members of Trillium - www.trilliumtheband.com - a quartet with an eclectic repertoire from Celtic to ragtime to folk to bluegrass, music intended for all ages, performing in Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin. Following are amazon.com ratings of "Wander Down Beyond the Rainbow": ***** (5 stars!) Outstanding, July 24, 2006 Reviewer: Cole's Mom "MyHusbandsBooks" (Chicago, IL) - See all my reviews I first heard Mim Eichmann on the Cirrius kids channel and had to get her CD. I love it. Her voice is beautiful and her songs are unique, something for kids and their parents to enjoy! My favorite songs are #2 I've Got a Song in My Toes, #9 The Alphabet Backwards Song, and #10 Paw Paw. A great collection of songs for kids., April 21, 2002 Reviewer: Edward Gregory (Montana) - See all my reviewsWhen I listened to "Wander Down Beyond the Rainbow" I heard something that I had never heard in a children's song. Substance. A lot of the music that is out there for kids does not give them a real look into the wide array of music out there other than songs like "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star". I highly recommend this CD for any adult who wants their child to grow up with some sort of taste in music. Edward Gregory Comment | Was this review helpful to you? (Report this)
