Love is an Illusion, released in 1995, is the debut album of symphonic rock vocalist Lana Lane and features music and lyrics by her producer husband, Erik Norlander. Originally recorded on a shoestring budget, it was re-released in 1998 in a remixed format. A 2001 special edition was also released. For the remixed 1998 version of the album, Norlander had the album completely remastered, as well as having the album's guitar, Hammond organ, and a few drum tracks completely re-recorded. Some of the re-recorded guitar tracks included a few extended solos, thus extending some of the songs. Also, three brand new tracks were recorded specifically for the 1998 remixed version. The 2001 special edition version includes a full color booklet with extensive liner notes by Norlander and is packaged in a two-compact disc jewel case. Both previous versions of the album are included, one on each disc.
