Traditional Country, "On The Bayou" takes place in Southwest Louisiana. It is an hour long. There is an ongoing narration, usually at the end of each track, and the songs when heard out of order might be awkward as a story is unfolding. It starts out with just Hank and his guitar, and builds an instrument at a time as others join in. For a brief time Hank enjoys himself and his music. I do the singing and guitar, Jim Laing narrates the story, and Byron Allred records and adds instrumentation. "Gone Cowboy" is a minimalist approach to a more contemporary Cowboy Country genre. A couple of earlier songs fit in. It also is cover songs with just one of my own. Just vocal, guitar, and cello. "Wilderado Serendip" has a couple of covers, the rest are mine, and "Round Pegs & Square Holes," are all mine. They could best be described as Rock, Punk, Alternative, Garage, Industrial - a mix. I began playing in Lake Charles, LA., with "The Oracle" making it to LA to record, then I was in other bands in L.A, Cape Cod, MA., Houston, and I've been in the Bay Area since returning to California. I was in a play/band called "Exiles," My best/favorite bands were "Rebels & Infidels," and "Siamese Triplets." Then, after moving to Concord, I went solo and began recording these CDs available on CDBaby. I play out occasionally, playing acoustic. I'm in the studio again, doing my own songs - with electric guitar and more up tempo. Have started on the 4th one.
