Daniel Montoya is a Singer/Songwriter in the heart of the Rio Grande Valley. Born in Albuquerque in the mid 80's, Daniel grew up in a dusty town thirty minutes south of New Mexico's largest city. His upbringing allows for a unique tapestry of experiences and sounds. Drawing on many American mediums, Daniel's sound is a blend of Americana, Folk, Blues, and Country, all with modern sensibility. "All I want to do is create honest music..." says Daniel, "music that is true to me and where I am at this exact moment." The music reflects small town dreams, distant trains whistling in the cool night breeze, bitter downpours in monsoon thunderstorms, and empty longings for more then what we see. Daniel is just getting started with the new EP 'Nothing For Us', and will be writing honest songs for years to come.
