简介
"Cherry Cola" lyrics and music by Gabriela Francesca Produced by Fengheng Lee Engineered by Moritz Braun Gabriela Francesca is a 20 year-old singer, songwriter and performer born and raised in Chicago, IL. Though she hails from the Midwest, she is half-Mexican on her father's side and from her mother, has ethnic roots in Germany, Ireland, Sweden and France. She lived in the Chicagoland suburbs for 18 years before packing up her songwriting notebooks, black Seagull guitar and impressive shoe collection and moving to Boston to attend the prestigious Berklee College of Music on a talent-based scholarship. Having completed a Bachelor's in Music at just 20 years old, Gabriela is ready to take on the world with her music. Her music ranges from dark emotional electro-pop to comically sarcastic bubblegum pop. Gabriela bares all in her music, and spares no details when writing songs about breakups, hookups, or those high school and college "mean girls" we all know too well. Gabriela never quite fit in in school, and always felt like the odd one out. Though she's been a lifelong author, she found her true calling when she began writing songs regularly around the age of 10. Through music, she has been able to find her true self as well as her sound, and can shamelessly express what a quirky and odd soul she is! Her infectious energy is impossible to ignore at her live shows. She takes inspiration from acts like Gwen Stefani, Karmin, Kimbra and Lady Gaga and makes her gigs not only a musical showcase, but also something like an athletic feat! She can be seen dancing on stage, interacting with the crowd, jumping up and down and even tossing beach balls into the crowd once in a while! She loves to leave her fans with an experience that is unforgettable and makes them feel like they can belong and still be different. Gabriela writes in a breadth of styles, from pop to rock to funk. She specializes in and enjoys writing Top 100 Radio pop the most. At a young age, Gabriela has already worked with important figures in the industry, like Nils Gums (manager of Karmin and founder of Complex Management) and Miles Walker (engineer of Beyonce, Rihanna, Wiz Khalifa, Fifth Harmony and more). She was featured in several Berklee-produced music videos, including the Berklee Grammy 2015 Mashup, which gained over 205,000 views and had exposure on the main page of the Huffington Post. Gabriela's dream is to dominate airwaves with her original songs, make them into Hot 100 hits and travel the world playing her music. She also dreams of playing one of the stages at Lollapalooza, the yearly summer festival hosted in her hometown of Chicago. She hopes to find success and opportunity in Los Angeles when she relocates in late summer.
