After an unlikely trip to Azerbaijan, Low Bird (vocals) and Jimmy Q (guitars, synthesizers, production) dive into new electro band, Caspian Pool. Strongly influenced by 90's French touch and techno, and synth collectors, the two French characters from Annecy blast their contagious electronic cold wave. Well regarded in the electronica scene, Caspian Pool has toured and opened for international electronic music acts such as Joe Goddard, Etienne de Crecy, and Laurent Garnier, as well as performances at festivals and venues including Canada Music Week, M for Montreal, DRO, The Old Queens Head, and Garçon Sauvage. Their video for ‘Right/Wrong’ was voted best music video of the year by Les InRocks. Currently recording their upcoming debut album with the help of French producer Julien Galner (Chateau Marmont, Exotica), the band is releasing remixes in collaboration with diverse and international artists such as Chris Garneau, Them There (Phoebe Killdeer & Craig Walker), Old Man Canyon, and The Pirouettes.
