The Crockett Project is an energetic Gospel/Christian unit blending various musical styles founded by guitarist, songwriter, and producer, Kevin Crockett. Kevin hails from Washington, DC and currently resides in Raleigh, NC. He picked up the guitar at an early age and played with local bands and gospel quartet groups around the DC area, in particular, the Souls of Joy (founded by his father) and the Christian Harmonizers. After graduating from Montgomery Blair High School, Kevin attended Berklee College of Music in Boston, where he earned a bachelor's degree in Music Production and Engineering. He currently ministers on guitar at World Overcomers Christian Church in the Raleigh/Durham area. Kevin's musical style is a fusion of Christian, gospel, jazz, rock, and rhythm & blues.

The song "Your Word" was inspired by the importance of God's word in Kevin's life as he fulfills his purpose to spread God's word through music. The track has a jazzy, neo soul feel and features dynamic vocals by Kimberly Chante'.
