A musician friend of mine once told me he was an artist in transition. This album feels like a transition for me. Exactly to what, I'm not sure. But if you listen to all the tracks I think you'll find some that you want to hear again and again. I always try to write and record the kind of music I'd want to listen to: Melodies that twist and turn in surprising ways, and textures of sound that bring emotions to the front. As far as the lyrics go, some of these are stories and some of them are like paint thrown on a canvas. And a few of the songs are simply words used as therapy.
