简介
I am best known as the co-writer of "Once In A Very Blue Moon", which was recorded by Dolly Parton, Nanci Griffith, Mary Black, Crystal Gayle, and others. I have also had songs recorded by major label artist, such as, Don Williams, Mark Collie, T. Graham Brown and Confederate Railroad. I was born in 1950 and raised in New York City. During the 60's, after the British invasion, I was exposed to every rock band and artist that was out there during that ground breaking period. Shortly thereafter, I moved to San Francisco where I lived for about 8 years. One day I happened to hear Merle Haggard on my radio and I discovered country music. I moved to Nashville in 1979 where I have lived since. I am married and have two kids. Although I'm not as into country music as I once was, a couple of the songs on this CD have a county flavor. Some of my musical influences are The Beatles, The Stones, The Lovin' Spoonful, Dylan, Springsteen, Bruce Cockburn, Alanis Morrisette, Meredith Brooks and Phil Oaks to name a few. I consider myself to be a lyricist with a social conscience, but I also like to make my songs fun to listen to. I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed writing and recording them.
