简介
Doody the Tiger was borned in Montreal but spent his childhood in Haiti. Following his father’s murder in 1993, Doody’s family returned to Quebec, where Doody studied Electrical Engineering at Concordia University. One evening, he attended a concert given by his baptismal brother, also a musician, who asked him up on stage. Adrenalin then took over. He would make music his trade, despite reprimands from his family, who saw this decision in a very bad light. This was in 2003. He had just finished his studies and found himself taking a very different path from the one set out for him. He began his artistic career with the group Tranzit. He is a lyricist and composer. Together they get people dancing to irresistible Afro-Caribbean rhythms. From the start, they played in various Quebec venues and in festivals such as the Festival International Nuits d’Afrique and the Festival des Rythmes du Monde. Four years later, he chose to perform solo. The memories of his country have influenced his personality, his values and are probably a key element linked to his need and desire to sing and play music. Doody wants to share his story, his roots and the musical flavors from Haiti but also from the Caribbean, Latin America and Africa.
