简介
Jason Choo is a singer/songwriter/drummer/guitarist/keyboardist/bassist/producer/engineer/assistant engineer/mastering engineer from Vancouver, Canada (but now living in Singapore) who has enjoyed no success whatsoever in music but loves the creative process which distracts him from the grind of day to day city survival. Having played in several bands in high school and college, worked with a couple other unknown artists, and even made coffee briefly in a world-class studio in Vancouver, despite his passion, Jason came to the conclusion early on in life that he was missing one key ingredient to forge a successful career in music - talent. His first album "Traveler", released in 2013, follows the tribulations of a young man disillusioned with the tediousness of his life who sets off on a journey of self discovery only to fall in love with a young woman living in a religious community. Unable to convince her to leave with him, he sets out once again in an endless loop of satiation. The album achieved aluminium sales, selling over 100 copies. The following year he released his second album, "The Great Divide", a collection of songs about inequalities in life. The album sold even better than the first one. Jason also released an EP called "Stand Up Straight", a collection of songs which were so mediocre they didn't even make it on any album, as well as a satirical single about skiing called "What Did The Instructor Say?" which was given critical acclaim by one friend in Austria who really does know a lot about skiing. Nevertheless, Jason's relentless pursuit of trying to achieve that platinum sound in the basement of his home led him to write, perform, produce and master his 2015 release called "Way Out", an album about finding escapes and distractions in life which writing this bio also achieved.
