"Origenes" Is the first recording of mexican guitarist Hugo Fernandez as a leader. His writting skills reflect the music he grew up listening to, such as, pop/rock and on the other hand the "jazz greats". Jazz guitarists Bill Frisell, Pat Metheny, John Abercrombie and Kurt Rosenwinkel are among his major musical influences. The Quartet reunites prime jazz players from the multicultural Spanish jazz scene.
