Johan Hugosson made his debut as piano soloist aged 17 with the Nordic Youth Orchestra. He went on to study the piano at the Danish Royal Conservatory of Music and then to the Royal College of Music (RCM) in London. During his studies at the RCM Johan won several awards including the Beethoven and the Chopin Prizes. He graduated from the advanced postgraduate course with distinction. Since graduating Johan has performed regularly as a soloist and chamber musician. During 2008-2009 he toured with the Goldberg Variations, and this CD was recorded during a performance in Malmö, Sweden, 15/02/09. As well as performing, Johan is also a composer. In 2007 “Piano Passion” (10 piano pieces) was published by Gehrmans Musikförlag and in the same year the youth musical “Star Kids” was performed in London.
