1x1=4 is the third full length album by Numatica, following on from the recently released Ep Cascade this album shifts direction from Numatica’s previous work to focus on more ambient downtempo styles with splashes of dub added. 1x1=4 was written to connect with Numatica’s previous album 1x1=3, it includes remixes of selected songs off the1x1=3 album along with three new offerings and a remix of Nort’s track Distance. From the opening ambient track spring shift the album flows through lush electronic atmospheres, mangled beats and acoustic elements, while moving in and out ambient, downtempo and dub styles such as the ambient dub track Down Hill Run. Rounding off the album is the ambent beat based track Evolver keeping the album packed with Numatica’s trademark styles and sounds.
