The Loose Change Gospel Band was originally formed by Kathy Peterson in 1997 - so called, she says, because the band at that time was "loosely organized and the members were always changing." Since 2010, the band has tightened up to a group of five core musicians plus guest artists who play on the Gospel Stage during the Omak Stampede in Omak, WA. The Stampede is held during the second weekend of August each year. The band comes together then (from California and Washington) to perform a variety of bluegrass, gospel, old-time, and Christian cowboy tunes. "Across the Great Divide" is a collection of 14 Gospel Stage favorites, plus a knock-out performance from guest artists Lonnie & Teresa Good, and Mark Coulter. You'll love their interpretation of Lonnie's original song, "Let 'em Grow." The band is pleased to donate all proceeds from this CD to the Okanogan Christians in Action.
