The lyrics to the song LIVE LIFE come from a conversation between Yasmeen and ex-husband, Jeffmajors. The lyrics to the song are the words to the song. Yasmeen has been singing since the age of 3 but did not know if she would ever sing again after being so ill with pancreatic cancer. Jeffmajors encouraged Yasmeen to go back into the studio to record this song from her experience, but before that coordinated one of the largest benefit concerts of indie artists in the DC Metropolitan area for Yasmeen's medical expenses on May 20, 2014 at The Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church located on Sheriff Road, NE Washington, DC. At this benefit, Jeffmajors organized a group of background vocals (including Yasmeen's daughter Summer) to sing and not only debut the song but to debut Yasmeen's first time singing after thinking she would never be able to sing or record again. This benefit, affectionately named "The Jubilee Journey Concert Series" coined by Theresa Jordan (aka Pastor T) consisted of indie artists from several states, i.e. Canada, Alabama, Ohio, Atlanta, Virginia, Maryland, DC, North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida...they came from all over. Special guests were the internationally acclaimed a cappella sextet "Sweet Honey in the Rock" of which Yasmeen is a former member of almost 2 decades, and the first internationally acclaimed African American Male Harpist, Jeffmajors. The surprise guest was the renowned Richard Smallwood, author of "Jesus You Are the Center of My Joy" (sung worldwide and put to sheet music in over 30 languages). The program was also produced by Antheny Hampton, Yasmeen's producer out of Atlanta, Georgia.
