My name is Alyssa Nicole and this is my reason to live: I grew up on various stages throughout Cleveland, Ohio and its suburbs; my earliest memories consist of me performing in dance recitals. It amazes me that I still get butterflies in my stomach before a performance but I have to say it’s what keeps me coming back. I’ve written songs since I could write but only recently started putting them to music. When I was younger I listened to a lot of Shania Twain, currently you will find me jamming out to Taylor Swift or Carrie Underwood. I look up to these artists; I aspire to model my career after theirs in as many ways that I can. My music is all original, a chorus could come to me when I least expect it but sometimes the verses take a little longer. My songs are very personal stories that I can’t wait to share with you; they portray very real emotions like the turmoil that I felt when I wrote “A Reason to Live” or the hopefulness that I continue to feel when I sing “Dear Prince Charming.” I’ve always known what I wanted out of life, the only question being how I was going to get there. I’ve come to the conclusion that there are always going to be things that get in your way but once you find your reason to live you should do everything in your power to live it out.
