Xashrav started studying music at the age of 8 (year 1998) in Tehran by learning how to play the piano. He practiced piano, studied theory of music , harmonies and composing for 10 years and then started to shift to the Alternatine Rock scene with playing drums ang Electric Guitar in 2007.

He started playing with numerous bands in Iran such as "Mavara", "Achromatic", "Catharsis", "Dangshow" etc.,with different genres and approaches such as Progressive Rock, Alternative Metal and even Traditional Persian fusion. Alongside these bands Xashrav started recording and publishing pieces and studio albums worldwide and performing live shows not only in Iran but in the international music scene as well.

After 8 years with focusing on playing the Piano/Synthesizer, drums and samples simoltaneously on stage,he started writing songs and composing for his solo debut album in Decebmer 2015.

The "Atlantic Ghost Crab" is the outcome of his life experience throughout years of studying and performing music from 1998 to 2017. All the composing, arrangements, instruments (such as piano, drums, strings, pads etc.),and also all of the sounds, melodies, harmonies, engineering, effects, automations and samples are played, sequenced and performed by Xashrav except for the Vocals, Cello, Clarinet and Alto Saxophone parts which are played and performed by guest musicians.
