My brother played the piano so it was only natural that I ,being his little brother, would mess around with the keys every now and then. When I was about ten years old I was playing the piano for my friends from what I thought was an accurate read of sheet music on my part. I was so proud of the way I played this song called " Kangarooster ". A friend of mine who could read music told me I was playing it all wrong. Of course I didn't want to believe her. It was sounding to good to be wrong. It was confirmed by my brother that in fact I had been playing this song wrong. I was confused and then ashamed because I was trying to show off, but then I realized that if I played a song wrong and it still sounded like a real song, then I didn't really need to know how to read music. I could just do it on my own. I've been making music my own way ever since. It has been a long journey from that time to this. I've been changing styles but not really noticing it. I've just played my own style of music. Come to think of it, I really don't know what type of style or genre my music is. I mean I play all types of music like Jazz, R&B, Hip Hop, Dance, Country and even Classical. Maybe that's why it's so hard for me to classify my music because I put all of that into some of my music. To be honest with you, I don't worry about Titles. I have so many songs, it's hard to name them all. I only title them because I have to. I used to title my songs from the way I felt about them when I listened to them. Then I would feel a different way when listened to them later. Well, that goes that idea. Now I title my songs and let the listener use their imagination to take them where they want to go. I just want people to enjoy listening to my music. This album has more of a jazz sound to it. But other music is to come. Enjoy.
