The melodies, rhythms, and harmonies on this album are inspiration transformed. "After Rain"—inspired by "Over The Rainbow". "The Dreamer's Rose"—inspired by a computer-generated melody. "Dancing Leaves"—inspired by Joplin's "Maple Leaf Rag". "Todays's The Day"—inspired by "Happy Birthday To You". "My Heart, Your Voice"—inspired by the Saint-Saëns opera Samson and Delilah "Tealo"—inspired by Sonny Rollins' tune "Oleo". Vignette XII-XIII—Commissions in the vein as my first album. "Joli bijou"—I started this piece in the summer of 2002, intending to finish it later. Then I find the bridge-less melody in 2016—untouched for fourteen years—and decide to record it "as is" for this album. "Fly Away"—My attempt at writing a 3/4 jazz ballad. "A Christmas Song"—If "Joy To The World" can start with a descending major scale, why can't this piece start with an ascending major scale?
