Not much happens in Cumbria. Shops close early and the glorious landscape is scattered with sheep. Occasionally in the small town of Sedbergh though (located near Junction 37 on the M6) you can hear a noise. That noise is usually the sound of 'Rich and The Poor'. Founded by Richard David Thomas (Wilson) in 2012 this band is a four piece Pop, Punk, Rock band made up of life long friends Rich, Joel, Pat and Hayley. ​ Touring around the North has given the band a small following, mainly on their home turf. Playing a variety of covers often with their own unique spin on them they also are proud to play their own songs. Richards song writing is a healthy display of what can be done with simple chords and melodies. Stemming from old American Punk/ Rock roots. The added touch is the soaring vocals of Hayley Forknall who along with a tight rhythm section (Joel & Pat) makes this band eye catching and enjoyable. The band are set to release their Debut EP 'Lets Go Nowhere Together' in 2015. Produced by Adam Stokel. 'I'll Be Waiting' is the first single from the EP.
