Shout Section Big Band is a 15-20 piece big band from Chicago, Illinois. Started in 2008 by Brett Dean, the band has been on the ascent in Chicago and the 'burbs, swinging from one gig to the next. The album was recorded in the summer of 2011 at Riverside Brookfield High School in Riverside, Illinois. For this first recording, the band selected several classic big band Christms arrangements and cooked up several home grown charts to give audiences an incredible variety.

Shout Section features several fantastic soloists on this brand new album, including tenor: Casey Fitzpatrick, singer: Amy Yassinger and trumpet: Nick Drozdoff.
