简介

From the streets of Northern California, Yay area enters Renz Julian, rapper and CEO of Field of Dreamz Entertainment. As a youth the circumstances of coming from a single parent household led him to the streets and on his own at the young age of 14. Oakland, Califonia was where he finally ended up as a teenager after bouncing around numerous bay area cities such as, Antioch, Pittsburg, Richmond, Tracy, San Jose, Sacramento, and Dublin. Julian lived in roughly 22 different living situations staying with friends and relatives due to drug problems at home during the crack epidemic of the eighties. his step-father, was kind enough to take him in and support him even after the divorce from his beloved mother. During this time, Renz felt alone and confused and took to the streets. As a teen he was forced to hustle for his food and clothing engaging in numerous illegal activities such as pimping, selling narcotics, grand theft, and running with rebellious youth gangs engaging in violence. After a few close calls with gunfire and witnessing friends getting caught up in the street life, Renz decided to focus his energies in a more positive direction. He joined the college football team and was an instant success. He was recruited by top football schools such as the University of Oregon, and University of Hawaii, but ended up accepting a full scholarship to Division I St. Mary's, located in the Berkeley Hills, East of Oakland. After an impressive freshman season things took a turn for the worse. In '99 after an ACL injury sidelined him, Julian was back on the streets of West Oakland and out of school. He moved in with Salim the Uneek, co-founder/president of FOD Ent. They lived in the 509 building on Sycamore St and had to grind and hustle to pay for rent. They made enough money to install a recording studio in the apartment and formed the group Goldfingaz. Then they met former Luniz manager Will Brewer and began work on the album "Fingaz of Gold" released in 2002 on Street People Entertainment. The album was recalled due to financial constraints and the group shortly disbanded. After losing friends and family to murder and death Renz decided not to take life for granted and re-enrolled in school. He got back on the football field and was eventually attracting NFL scouts. During 2003-04 he was invited to NFL combines held by the 49ers/Raiders/Falcons and posted a 4.3/40 yard time at 225 ilbs. He was contacted by the Cincinatti Bengals, and the New York Giants but ended up playing Arena football for the Rapid City, and Lacrosse Indoor Teams. After disagreements with the coaching staffs, and a few nagging injuries Julian was released and returned home to the bay area looking for work. In 2004 it was back to hustlin' and grindin' on the streets when he eventually met back up with Salim tha Uneek and formed FOD Entertainment. The label is set to be a force in the music industry and starts off 2006 by releasing 2 the League Mixtape Vol. I, and following with the LP the Autobiography of Renz Julian.
