Mark Bodino began playing guitar at age 13 and piano at age 18. He also noticed he enjoyed the expressiveness of singing at age 18. Since that time he has described his love for music as an obsession. His diverse musical capability have allowed him to record projects of classical guitar, instrumental, popular contemporary and original music well received around the world. Mark performs around the tri-state area as a solo artist and with his original band "Broken Darling". "Broken Darling. Broken Darling consists of 2 guitars, male and female vocals, bass and drums, performing cover and original material. The band’s musical vocal versatility gives them a broad range of styles from folk rock to hard rock to ballads. From track to track the instrumentation is searing, light and expressive, tasteful and melodic. The best description their overall sound may be a melding of the past – Fleetwood Mac meets The Eagles or Neil Young jams with Chris Isaak. The sound is classic with an added “pop texture” of the present. “We try to bring the listener to another place, as if leading them down a dark corridor or toward something typically peripheral or unveiled”.
