I fell in love with the guitar when I was a child but was kept in the friend zone until about 8 years ago when I broke out and had a guitar placed into my hands. Like most novices, I learned to do covers of charts I liked and that had meaning for me. My Guitar Guru urged me to write almost as soon as I had 3 chords to string together. I thought I had nothing to say, but it seems I just had to wake up, open my eyes and look at the world with music in my heart to find my voice. Who knew that the initial Sears special P.O.S. guitar I started with would grow into a fleet of guitars full of stories and personalities with numerous charts full of sound, emotion and parts of me. I soon realized I could write original songs and that writing them was like a puzzle: when the pieces, lyrics and musical notes fit together in the right places, it makes for a wonderful picture. I have since travelled extensively and have written in fascinating and inspiring locales, including: Europe; Scandinavia; Russia; North America; and the Caribbean. I have found that I immensely enjoy the creative and artistic process involved in songwriting. Though I enjoy performing, I am not attempting to promote myself as the vocalist: my interests, skills and talents lean more towards the innovative process of writing the charts. As such, my preference is to focus on the songwriting aspect with the hope that other performers would be interested in utilizing my creations, to our mutual benefit. This is a selection of the numerous charts I have written, spanning multiple genres and styles. Personally, I would label these as Contemporary Folk Music. However, these charts could easily become part of an artist’s library and should appeal to a variety of performers: from Country Artists to Rock Bands; from Blues Artists to Alternative Bands.
