"Glad I'm Me" is the first single by Dren featuring Leila Steinberg is an American manager, business woman, educator, writer,] poet, dancer, singer and founder of (Assemblies In Motion), a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to helping at-risk youth find their voice using the arts and athletics. She is best known as the artist mentor and first manager for superstar rapper, Tupac Shakur who came to her writing workshop Dren born Adrian Benard Haggerty on April 24th, 1975, in Malvern, Arkansas is an American R&B/soul musician, singer and rapper. He also known by Guerilla Hollywood (A name given to him by Tila Tequila. He is mostly known for his work with Tila Tequila in starting the Los Angeles born activist group EGP (Elite Guerilla Posse - which was discussed on the Tyra Banks show during an appearance by Tila) and his collaborations with Devante Swing and Dalvin Degrate (both from the American R&B group Jodeci. Dren developed a following musically referencing his childhood growing and the pitfalls he encountered growing up in a poverty stricken community. He did not achieve major success in his home state of Arkansas because of the lack of exposure. He then relocated to California before he began to flourish as an artist when he got exposure to other mainstream artists. He also is known for his works and collaborations with Big Syke or "Mussolini" & Young Noble (from the late Tupac Shakur's rap group Thug Life and Outlaws. Tiana Aces (2012) Career Dren started his at the age of 14 with a toy keyboard his mother bought him. He then began composing music and eventually had a single (Let It Go) which was played on radio stations in his native Malvern Arkansas. He stayed on the underground circuit in Arkansas for several years before getting his first deal in 2005 when he located to California. After being dropped from the label he then started working for Tila Tequila as commander of the activist group EGP based out of Los Angeles. Tila was currently on MTV's "A Shot At Love" reality show. This inspired Dren's first album release in California entitled "A Shot At Life" which was inspired by Tila's new show on MTV. Dren & Tila Tequila parted ways after one of the members of EGP (Dean Alexander aka Gurilla Ryu) of the activist group committed suicide. Dren then began to work with Tupac Shakur affiliated artists including Big Syke, Mopreme Shakur, DeVante Swing and others. Dren produced the Thug Life X album which was a ode to the previous Shakur related releases. Dren also recorded "I Aint No Killer" with Tupac Shakur's stepbrother Mopreme Shakur. Dren later crossed paths with Devante Swing of the R&B group Jodeci. Dren & DeVante instantly became friends and lived together in Studio City California and recorded "Make Love To Your Mind" in DeVante's Studio City residence. Dren later began recording with DeVante Swing's brother Dalvin Degrate who with Dren became affiliates of the same management company Carter Management and recording the single "Take It Off".
